Concept: Moving abroad for internship experiences during summer meant that I had to hide my stuff away, or squeeze storage boxes in my colleagues’ closet. Public storage was always so expensive as a student, and there were too many horror stories of “they broke my laptop, my chair, my life”. Thinking about the business model of Airbnb, I brought this idea of ‘an airbnb for stuff’ to the table. From then on me and two other teammates worked very hard for a semester to develop this project.

Share A Space is a community-driven platform that reimagines the way people use and share space. Inspired by the Airbnb model, it allows users to rent out underused areas — such as garages, spare rooms, studios, or institutional storage — to others in their local neighborhood who need temporary storage or workspace.

The goal of the project is to make space accessible, flexible, and sustainable by connecting those who have extra room with those who need it. The platform emphasizes trust, convenience, and community, empowering homeowners and institutions to earn passive income while helping others declutter and organize their lives affordably.
